Hello everyone welcome back to my blog. How has everyone been? It felt like we would have some nice spring weather this week in the UK but the sunshine has been a bit deceiving and had me running for my over coat!
So for today’s post, I wanted to share with you my OOTD with a quilted leather skirt perfect for this kind of weather. I know we think that leather skirts are for winter but here is a cool way to transition them into spring when the weather is not as warm. I must confess I did put some tights on before I left the house for my walk as it was a bit chilly.
When styling anything leather it’s always a good idea to play with other textures and the fit of the rest of the pieces. For example because the skirt is high waisted and figure hugging I am wearing it with a box fit fine knit jumper. Add in a linen trench coat and you have 3 textures going perfectly well together as they are all in neutral tones.
This skirt is like an ode to my Bottega Veneta cassette bag in a way, and I couldn’t think of any other bag that would be a better fit to this outfit than that. This is one outfit I will be definitely repeating in spring and also in autumn.
In other news, all the fashion forecasts and the fashion weeks for spring summer 2021 showcased a lot of pastels, specific hot pinks and greens, neutrals and classic monochromes. In a way it is the dreamiest palette to work with and it is very much likely that we all already own a lot of these colours in some form.
I hope you enjoyed my post today, I am working on an exciting and resourceful post which should be with you in a few weeks time. So see you soon Xx
