Welcome back to colour me in style. If like me you have been looking for a tulle skirt that stops you in your tracks then this post is for you.
I am usually into figure-hugging midi skirts but I’ve always wanted a tulle skirt that was full of volume yet was sheer and flowy but didn’t make me look bulky. So when I saw this gorgeous skirt at Chi Chi Clothing I couldn’t have been more in love.
The tulle skirt
Full disclosure, this skirt is a PR sample I received from my favorite occasion wear store Chi Chi Clothing.
As soon as I saw this skirt, I had a vision for this shoot- Carrie Bradshaw in her tulle skirt and a cami on circus lane in Edinburgh. And in those pretty cobblestone streets, she just wandered in slow motion. Ahhh! dreams do come true! Stick to the end of the post for a little slow-mo reel video and how this skirt moves will blow your mind.
Circus lane is one of Edinburgh’s prettiest streets. There is so much history here and if you want to know more about it check out my last post where I take you to the most Instagrammable spots In Edinburgh.
The front of the skirt is asymmetrical and creates that drama. The skirt comes lined with the loveliest satin fabric and it is how the tulle is positioned at the back that makes all the difference. I felt nothing short of a princess in this outfit for sure. Also, I am wearing trainers, cobbled streets and all? I thought that was a very cool princess move!
In other news, I had the first taste of my blogger duties of changing outdoors in a tourist location (hah!) And I realised this takes a lot of planning! So I was carrying this skirt with me all day that day and my original outfit thanks to the weather was my pleated shorts with a peach cami and a blazer. And the most convenient thing was I could just put the skirt on without actually taking off anything except the blazer and it worked!
Also as promised here is a little reel of the skirt in motion. Do let me know your thoughts on this post and hey if you are on Instagram, come find me! I will see you next week with some exciting things.
Au Revoir, Pooja Xx
