Hello and welcome back to Colour me in style. Today I want to talk about H&M’s most wanted – “The wildflower collection“. Inspired by the great outdoors it is such a gorgeous selection of prints for the spring/summer season. If you haven’t already, get your hands on these fabulous and sustainable pieces from H&M. But first meet the spring dress of the season.
With the rise of the cottage core aesthetic that we have seen all over social media, this collection just gives you the cottage core feel throughout. I love the print, the ruffles, the bareback, and the length of the dress. The fabric is 100% cotton which is a good thing on the sustainability front.
I am wearing a UK size small in this and the dress is pretty much true to size. If you like to size up on things, don’t, as the sleeves will slide down if you do despite being elasticated.
I have had a lot of questions about this bag on my Instagram and yes, it is a pretty good Chanel 19 dupe. I bought this bag from a seller on Instagram and I can’t see them anymore which makes me a bit wary of things. So whilst I do love this bag I am not openly promoting it. However, I will link a close match under the “get the look ” section for you.
So last week we went for a nice walk into the woods. I wore this spring dress and just felt like a shamelessly self proclaimed dream. Well, self love for 2021 is the motto.

Other Pieces in the Wildflower Collection
Ok, coming back to the topic of the Wildflower collection by H&M. Print designers Abigail, Holly, Kavita, and Florentin have created prints that have taken us into a meadow of wildflowers. The collection has a great selection of spring dresses, skirts, tops, shorts and playsuits.
It is said that the designers went into the fields with their sketchbooks to seek inspiration from nature and were inspired by the windswept wildflowers in all their natural beauty. I think this has to be a really popular and quick selling collection H&M have come up with. We must give a 10/10 for being sustainable by using organic and 100% cotton fabrics for this collection.
Popular spring dresses from the collection
I absolutely adore this spring dress in white which is a variation of the dress I am wearing in this post.
This bandeau dress has been so popular it keeps selling out online. A lot of bloggers including Lydia Millen have been seen sporting this dress.
Another fantastic option is this spring dress. It has a narrow cut at the top and an open back with crossover elasticated shoulder straps. The dress has an A-line skirt with pockets in the side seams, I mean any dress with a pocket is a YES from me for being functional. This dress is nowhere to be found so count yourself lucky if you got your hands on it early.
More from the collection
Here are some other pieces from the collection that I love and adore. If I could I would have them all. The collection is restocked from time to time and you may have to look at the website a few times if you really want to get your hands on some of the popular items.
